In addition to a job where he gets to learn from, invest in and build with advocates for children and families, Rev. Wilson engages in impactful voluntarism with philanthropies and faith communities across the country.

As board chair for the National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy, Starsky works with leaders of the most progressive foundations and powerful social change organizations. Through projects like the Movement Investment Project and Power Moves assessment, NCRP promotes philanthropy that serves the public good, is responsive to people and communities with the least wealth and opportunity, and is held accountable to the highest standards of integrity and openness.

As vice chair of the Forum for Theological Exploration, he supports the development and journey of young adults discerning vocations in church or the academy. FTE is a leadership incubator that inspires young people to make a difference in the world through Christian communities. Through curated events, fellowships and innovative network activities, FTE is shaping the future of healing, leading and teaching in North America.

As a trustee of both the Samuel DeWitt Proctor Conference, and Sojourners, Wilson partners with America's most prominent faith leaders building capacity in others and connecting the dots between religion, race and faith.
